The base engine will be a 3.5 liter V6 engine which is capable of pumping 260 horsepower at 250 lb-ft of torque. This is the same powertrain that is driving the current model. Although it may not be the best engine available in the Auto Market, it offers a very smooth driving without much vibrations to the cabin. It will adopt a standard front-wheel drive and an optional all-wheel drive. The EPA is estimated to be around 27 miles per gallon on city drives, 33 mpg on the highway and a combined of 30 mpg.

The optional engine that is going to power the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder is the 2.5 liter supercharged inline 4-cylinder engine which will be mated to an electric motor. It will deliver a close power output to the base V-6 engine; that is 250 horsepower at 242 pounds of torque. However, it is expected to deliver an enhanced fuel consumption featuring a combined of 26 miles per gallon.

There is still no official information from the manufacturers concerning the release dates of 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. However, most customers are anticipating that it will hit the Auto Market towards the fall of this year or at the beginning of 2016. The base trim level will cost around $28, 000.
