2016 GMC Terrain Redesign

According to the automaker company, the 2016 GMC Terrain comes with all new updates and design since its initial launch in the year 2010. Several notable changes that have been made on this car include all new refreshed exterior changes, an improved and enlarged interior cabin, and space that offers sufficient leg and head space. The latest cutting edge technology has been incorporated. Comfortability and a V6 is one unique feature that this crossover SUV has to offer, and this ensures that it perfectly competes with another car in the auto market. There are several trim levels of the 2016 GMC Terrain available, and they include the base model SL, SLE-1, SLT, SLE-2 and high-end trim Denali.

2016 GMC Terrain – Shape and Style:

When observed from the outside, 2016 GMC Terrain has been made to resemble a sports utility wagon. The dimensions of this crossover SUV has been redesigned as compared to the previous model, and they measure 185.50-inches in overall length and 72.80-inches in width. The wheelbase has increased to measure 112.50-inches, this, therefore, translates to increased stability and control of the car by the user while driving at high speeds. From the interior point of view, the 2016 GMC Terrain SUV can comfortably accommodate 5-passengers even though the SUV lacks a third-row seat. The cabin space is fairly sufficient for family shoppers. The seats of the base models SL and SLE are wrapped using special clothing while those of the high-end trim levels, the SLT, and Denali have leather wrapped seat. The notable additional interior features include; USB port, a 7-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity for music sharing, a Satellite Radio, Star 4G LTE system, a six-speaker audio system wich ensures that the occupants are entertained, and a Wi-Fi Hotspot is also available for internet accessibility. The safety features available for the 2016 GMC Terrain include features like; a lane departure warning, rear parking assist, cross traffic alert, collision alert, side blind zone alert, airbags, and a lane departure warning.

2016 GMC Terrain – Strong Power Unit:

Under the hood powerhouse, the car has been fitted with a 2.4L and a 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 182 hp, providing a torque of 172 lb-ft, this is available for the SL trim while for the SLE-2, SLT, and the Denali trims a 3.6L V6 engine is available. This engine provides an output power of 301 hp while generating a torque of 272lb-ft. These dual engines have been integrated to a 6-speed automatic transmission while all-wheel drive is available for all trims except the SL model. The fuel economy for the V6 engine is rated 20 mpg, for the V4, is rated 26mpg and when on AWD the fuel efficiency is 18 mpg.

The 2016 GMC Terrain was released during the fall of the year 2015. The prices are as follows; the SL base model traded at $23,975, while for the SLE Model at $30,620 and the Denali trim going at $33,975.
